Our Mission

The mission of the Copperas Cove EDC (CCEDC) is:
“ To proactively support the creation of jobs and investment in Copperas Cove by recruiting new businesses, assisting existing businesses and planning for opportunities. “

The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation was created in 1990 by the citizens when they voted in favor to adopt the state’s 4A Sales Tax Program, in which the which the proceeds are dedicated by statute to economic development projects and to create primary jobs. Projects are governed by State Law for 4A Corporations and by policies established by the board of directors as well as the Copperas Cove City Council.

The Board of Directors consists of five members, appointed by City Council and agree to serve three-year terms. The board members are made up of a talented and experienced team of community leaders and work with staff on maintaining a comprehensive, economic development program for Copperas Cove.

Board meetings are held once a month, on the fourth Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at the City’s Technology Building located at 508 S. 2nd Street in Copperas Cove, Texas.
