Schools
Copperas Cove boasts a very reputable school district. The district, which serves the needs of more than 8,200 students in grades Pre-k-12, staffs more than 1,300 teachers, administrators and support personnel. There is one Pre-K center, six elementary schools, two junior high schools, 2 high schools, one being an alternative school of choice.
The schools are diverse, and students are very active in the community. The academic program exceeds many others and they have a strong athletic department. Copperas Cove High School has produced some well-known athletes through the years.

Housing
The housing market in Copperas Cove is growing yet continues to remain affordable. According to the Texas A & M Real Estate Center, in 2019, the average price for a single home was $132,837, making it affordable to own a house.
Medical Care
Copperas Cove is close to many options for medical care, whether you are a civilian or a veteran, there are three (3) major hospitals within the vicinity:
- Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center – 8.5 miles away, which mainly services military and their dependents, but is also a state designated trauma center;
- Advent Healthcare System – 7 miles on I-14 E
- Seton Medical Center Harker Heights – 16 miles on I-14 E.
