CCEDC incentives are based on job creation and capital investment and are primarily intended for light manufacturing and industrial development, and warehousing and distribution centers. However, we are not limited to only those types of projects.
Incentives are available through the City, County and State levels. Each incentive package offered is tailored to the individual company seeking incentives; no two packages are exactly alike.

The CCEDC is a Type A Corporation funded by 3/8 cent sales tax. This funding gives the CCEDC the ability to offer land grands, improve infrastructure and build-to-suit projects. There may even be performance-based cash incentives considered for additional uses. Discounted Land – the CCEDC owns the Narrows Business and Technology Park and can be used as an incentive as granted land or discounted land, depending on performance measures and or conditions agreed upon during negotiations. CCEDC Incentive Fund – the CCEDC has money that can be used for development assistance Development Fees and Waivers – the CCEDC will assist in the process for new construction in the City of Copperas Cove. We can offer fee waivers for permitting in coordination the CCEDC incentives.

Tax Abatements are available from the City of Copperas Cove and Coryell County for new improvements to real property.  Th CCEDC staff will facilitate the tax abatement application process with the City and the County. Another incentive that can be offered by the county is the Freeport and Goods in Transition  Tax Exemption which allows an annual exemption on certain types of tangible personal property (inventory) from property taxes.

The CCEDC partners with our local community college, Central Texas College, and other educational institutions, as well as our local workforce center, to assist in training needs. Training can be designed and created specifically to fit your needs.  Some of the funded education and training programs include the Skills Development FundHiring our Heroes, Heroes Make America.  The last two programs listed are funded by the Department of Defense and are open to soldiers exiting the military.

Texas continues to rank as one of the top states to do business in (see sources).  Texas is a very employer friendly state and has a plethora of incentives.  There are different incentives used to create packages that fit the need of the business or industry.  A few of them include the Texas Enterprise Fund,  Enterprise Zone Program, Capital Access Program.  The U.S. Treasury also has a program which can be used as an incentive which is an investment program.  This is tied to being in an Opportunity Zone, which the Narrows Business and Technology has been designated.

For a complete list of incentives used by Texas, please see Texas Business Incentives.
